Amway, located in Ada, Michigan, is a manufacturer and distributor of home and beauty products. They have in-plant design and print production facilities. We were brought in to assist them in reinventing their in-plant. As is the case with many in-plant organizations the operation did not have a customer focus or motivation to become an efficient organization.
We worked with them to review needs and costs, and then develop a department that was best of breed. In fact, after the restructuring, they learned how to be a competitive and customer-focused business by only selling services outside the company. After they became one of the premier print providers in their local area, they started servicing their internal clients again.
